Welcome to my home on the web, and thanks for your interest in reading about what I am up to. I am a professor in the Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of North Texas. In that capacity I teach in our BS/BA in Geography and MS in Applied Geography programs, with a focus on business geography and location intelligence. Through UNT Geography I also serve as program director for our new geospatial analytics certificate.

I am currently serving as executive director for the Applied Geography Conferences, Inc. Through my career, I have been honored to be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities focused on building the geography discipline and its business and applied geography subfields.

Personal highlights reflected on this site:
  • I hope you find my research, teaching, and geography career links on this website helpful. Each has extensive information on my work and professional involvement in the discipline of geography.
  • Here's information about graduate studies with me in the emerging field of location intelligence. I'm always interested in talking with potential students.
  • I'm active in practicing my faith, always with the aim of exhibiting great respect to one and all. I welcome good conversations about faith and belief.
