Welcome to my home on the web, and thanks for your interest in reading about what I am up to. I am a professor in the Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of North Texas. In that capacity I teach in our BS/BA in Geography and MS in Applied Geography programs, with a focus on business geography and location intelligence. Through UNT Geography I also serve as program director for our new geospatial analytics certificate and director of undergraduate studies for our department.
In December 2021 I completed a term of service as executive director for the Applied Geography Conferences, Inc. (now taking on a fresh, expanded identity as the "AGX"). Through my career, I have been honored to be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities focused on building the geography discipline and its business and applied geography subfields. These are exciting times in the applied geography world! |
