Graduate Students

I am always interested in talking with students thinking of pursuing a Master of Science degree in Geography. within the emerging area of research and application called location intelligence. Location intelligence refers to the broad application of geography to improve decision making for organizations of all kinds, while business geography focuses on the subset of geographic applications that relate to for-profit businesses in particular.

My teaching and thesis supervision activities focus on location intelligence applications within
:
  • UNT's MS track in business geography, which integrates geographic analysis, reasoning, and technology in support of improved organizational decisions.
  • UNT's MS track in urban environments, which emphasizes skills and knowledge related to careers in geography, cities, and urban planning and development.

My students do extremely well in gaining employment related to their studies.

Here are some resources related to my students and the learning opportunities I offer at UNT Geography:
  • Information on recent MS graduates I have supervised at UNT
  • Information on my current MS students
  • Further information on graduate studies with me in in particular (what to expect from me, and what I expect from you)

Please contact me if you are interested in more information on study possibilities with me in the UNT Master of Science in Geography program
